Calanques National Park is a stunning stretch of limestone cliffs and turquoise coves between Marseille and Cassis on the French Mediterranean coast. The park is famous for its dramatic calanques-like Calanque d'En-Vau-where you can hike trails like the Sentier des Douaniers or kayak through the deep blue water. Summers are hot (80-90°F / 27-32°C), perfect for swimming, but crowded; spring and fall offer mild temps (60-75°F / 15-24°C) for quieter hiking, while winters around 50°F (10°C) let you explore with few people and cheaper parking near the trailheads.
