Zugspitze sits on the border of Germany and Austria, reaching 2,962 meters (9,718 feet) as the country's highest peak. The climate is alpine, with snowy winters from December to March perfect for skiing on the 20 kilometers of groomed runs, and mild summers from June to September for hiking the 10 trails above the Zugspitze Glacier.
