West Macedonia is a mountainous region in northern Greece with cold winters dropping to -5°C (23°F) and mild summers around 25°C (77°F). It's famous for its dramatic landscapes like the Prespa Lakes spanning two borders and the alpine village of Nymfaio, as well as for skiing at the Pisoderi resort in the Verno mountains.
