Jabal Akhdar is a mountain region in northern Oman, known for its cool climate-summers stay around 25°C (77°F) and winters drop to 5°C (41°F) at night. It's famous for the terraced rose farms that bloom in March and April, when you can hike the Saiq Plateau and visit the Al Ayn village to see the ancient falaj irrigation system. In winter, you can trek through the rocky Wadi Bani Habib to photograph its abandoned stone houses, while summer offers clear views from the highest point, Jebel Shams, without the heat of the lowlands.
